The Storm(Continued)

Crash! A bolt of streaking white light dropping and electrical tower to the ground on the horizon. Crash! This one devestating an office building, causing it to burst into flames. "This is the end", my mind kept singing. Hail and rain was now pounding violently to the ground like never before, as the face in the sky is more prevelant. The arms resembling tenticles swinging violently from side to side, with each sending sharp bolts of deadly electric light. There is complete devestation in its' path heading directly at me. There is no point running, it's just a matter of time. More violent tears are bleeding from the face
of this long-awaited storm, slapping against the manmade turf, as a pair of crossed red eyes spew out from the center of the cloud face, scanning the surface. A mouth with darting fangs is now protruding with each sending out swirling cones of twisting winds. People in the fields are running desperately towards me, but they are being scooped up like fish out of the sea, by the twisting tornadoes. The tornadoes are more violent and destructive than any man has ever seen. My face is pressed helplessly against the storefront window pane, as everything is being destroyed in front of me. It's like watching a movie. It's approach is slow and relentless. Horizon to horizon everything has been leveled with winds never felt before by man, 300 miles per hour, maybe more. How ruthless could mother nature be? Obviously, more brutal and horrible than people could ever imagine. From the West deep purple horrid looking clouds were now soaring forward on a direct head-on path with the storm. Faster they raced, picking up speed as the miles between them closed rapidly. Birds are emptying the trees and flying aimlessly in all directions. In a panic, I vaguely remember running, as suddenly I find myself in the woods behind my "shelter." Disater is inevitable as I peer hopelessly from behind a large rock, waiting for the end, reminiscing about my life. The tenticle arms were swinging violently, rain and hail are pounding my bleeding skin. The clouds are racing closer and closer and they "eyes" of the formation are lit up bright red, in anticipation of the collision. Faster they race towards each other, all of the years of abuse and neglect were about to come to a vengeful halt. Tornadoes ripping, hurricane-like winds sweeping everything in its' path, ignighting violent, explosive fires, and now the collision of these two viloent massive fronts of air. Crash! A loud thundering boom and an ear-piercing human-like scream. I covered my ears as I anticipated the end. I could hear the human-like voice now moaning louder and deeper and suddenly......Nothing.........
It came to a complete stop, as if a command was given. Slowly the sky broke free and beautiful bright sunshine, not seen for "ages" emerged.
Through the rays of the sunshine a transparent, but clearly identifyable image appeared. It could have been an angel. Maybey, this was the final warning, one last chance to change our ways.
I rustled through the rubbke that was once my place of employment, but that didn't seem important anymore. I sought some shelter for the night behind a pile of debris. The night was crystal clear and beautiful. A magical night not felt for many years. The stars shined bright, full of electricity. I easily pointed out the bright Northstar and Big Dipper. The moon was three-quarters lit and cast a brilliant light shadow. For the first time in years I was about to have a peaceful happy night's sleep.
Awakening from beneath some rubble, I wasn't dreaming. The sun is shining so bright today. Seeing the trees and shapely multi-colored leaves gleaming from the bright sunlight, this new sun makes me believe we have a new beginning. Everything is so crystal clear, the air seems unpolluted. The scent of fresh forest wood and sounds of birds chirping in harmony sends chills through my spine.
All of the greed, pain and stupidity caused by people was clearly put in place by a small dose of mother nature's power to preserve his greatest accomplishment, Earth.
The Eastern sky is medium blue in shade with silky white soft floating clouds, and clear for miles. I hear a small forest creature patter through the woods behind me. As I turn my head with a smile, my eye catches a glimpse of the Western sky. On the horizon looms a cloud, not just any cloud. A deep dark purple and gray cloud. It's just a cycle.
